- Following the huge success of Noir Extreme Eau de Parfum, and fans clamoring for a more intense and heightened version of this particular scent, the house of Tom Ford did not think twice to answer their request. Therefore, he announced a glorious return of Noir Extreme, but this time in Parfum form, giving this beloved fragrance a richer, more concentrated iteration for men.
Once again, the house reached out to the French perfumer Sonia Constant after the marvelous results that she made with the Eau de Parfum edition. There she created an intense version of the scent that merges amber, spices and wood for a richly sensual experience, without losing the identity of the previous Noir Extreme Eau de Parfum. According to Sonia Constant, Noir Extreme Parfum is an intensification of the original Noir Extreme scent, that breathes a heightened concentration of spicy cardamom, spiked with the warmth of Shimoga Ginger and the rich sensuality of Tonka Bean and Guaiac Wood. The perfumer really elevated the sensation toward a more sophisticated and richer direction.
The opening explodes all of a sudden to Cardamom and Ginger mingling with intensely deep and almost woodsy Vanilla, taking this sensory experience to that very addictive level and causing that mouth-watering effect. Moreover, its blend contains one of the smoothest spicy combinations I’ve ever encountered. A heady Jasmine and fresh Neroli, both creating a perfect harmony at the floral heart merge with the distinctive Kulfi accord forming an aromatic gourmand sensation. The sweetness of the core is balanced with smokey and smooth brown Suede, accompanied by Guaiac Wood and Cedarwood, forming the backbone to the composition while Sandalwood amplifies a creamy feel together with the Kulfi core.
Noir Extreme Parfum comes in a gold-toned flask with the elegant black logo at the bottom, retaining the same design as its predecessor. The all-golden appearance of the new bottle will further underline a more luxurious and rich aspect to the fragrance, truly befitting royalty.
